Sophia and Ethan are a young couple travelling the Harvest Trail together. Ethan is Australian travelling up from Victoria, while Sophia is from Germany on a working holiday visa. They started their journey together in Victoria with clear plans, but

They left Victoria before COVID took a hold to go holidaying in NSW.  However, with the situation in Victoria worsening, and not wanting to return early, and with the Queensland border about to close to New South Wales, Sophia and Ethan decided they would head far north to Cairns.  Travel can be expensive, so, running out of money and accommodation options they contacted the Caboolture Harvest Trail Service to help them find work to support their continued travels.

After registering with Harvest Trail, our office quickly found them work picking strawberries in the Caboolture region.  Now, with the weather warming, and a few weeks’ pay in their pocket, the couple have decided to head north again.

Seeking more work on their travels, the couple turned again to the Caboolture Harvest Trail office where Kristy has now put them in contact with the Harvest Trail office in Bundaberg.  The Bundaberg office found them work immediately, and they will start working on the citrus harvest as soon as they arrive and settle in.
