Vocational Education and Training (VET) in schools enables students to achieve essential credits towards their South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE).

As a Registered Training Organisation, we offer a range of nationally recognised training that assists school students in receiving and engaging in practical and enjoyable pathways. MADEC has an excellent history in providing quality and engaging training to school students in a range of courses and qualifications through South Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) in schools, such as:
  • CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services | up to 40 Stage 1 SACE Credits upon completion of this qualification

  • SIT20316 Certificate II in Hospitality | up to 40 Stage 1 SACE Credits upon completion of this qualification

  • CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care | up to 155 Stage 2 SACE Credits upon completion of this qualification

  • CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or Disability stream) | Up to 95 (Ageing Stream) or 90 (Disability Stream) Stage 2 SACE Credits upon completion of this qualification

MADEC can run VET in Schools Skills Clusters and Activity Days. These are designed to provide High School students with pre-vocational skills, preparing them for the workforce and the opportunity to try out different areas before committing to a qualification.

  • Eligibility criteria applies
  • Hours of structured work placement must be completed 
  • For CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services, child care units must complete 20 hours of placement in a child care setting
  • For MADEC Vocational Education and Training, the actual SACE credits granted to the student is dependent on the units of competency and nominal hours completed by the student towards the qualification
