From humble beginnings as a Mildura-based community organisation more than 50 years ago, MADEC Australia today is a leading national provider of employment, education and support programs.

Our roots, and enduring purpose, as a registered charity and not-for-profit, is to make a difference to people’s lives by alleviating poverty and distress.

Making a positive difference in our clients’ lives since our inception, we support and assist people in need as they face challenges, helping them to address their needs, overcome social, financial and physical barriers, improving their lives through intervention, education and employment.

Over the past decade:

MADEC has engaged with nearly 90,000 people experiencing disadvantage to find meaningful employment.   

Provided intensive support to over 1,000 people through the provision of Indigenous specific support programs with over 45% of participants reporting improved life circumstances.

Through the delivery labour hire and seasonal worker activities, MADEC has continued to play a prominent role in the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme, delivered in partnership with the Australian government and countries in the Pacific Islands and Timor-Leste by providing access to work opportunities in Australia. PALM has generated more than $500m in net financial benefit to workers, their families and communities.

With every year that passes, we see an increasing need to assist those who are facing challenges. Our focus holds true. We are on the forefront of developing solutions that can uplift individuals, improve life outcomes, and alleviate poverty or distress.
