Manual Handling (Health Care)

This non-accredited course specific to health care workers, will provide the skills to safely undertake manual handling tasks and reduce the risk of injury. Designed to prevent manual handling injuries through:
 
  • Risk identification
  • Risk assessment
  • Increase awareness and understanding of the complex nature of manual handling tasks
 
Participants must:
 
Have the physical ability to perform specific practical skills such as repositioning a person with a slide sheet and manoeuvring a mechanical lifter with a person in it
 
On successful completion of all requirements of this short course, learners will be issued with a Statement of Attendance.
